Steven Alan Shadoin, 69, of Lake Worth, FL passed away on July 30, 2017 after a 16 month battle with multiple myeloma. Born in New Castle, Indiana on February 8, 1948 to James and Mary Lou Shadoin, he was one of two sons. Steve proudly served our nation with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He began his telephone career in 1967 working for Illinois Bell Telephone. After moving to Florida in 1981, he transferred to Southern Bell Telephone where he remained until his retirement in 2003.
In his spare time, Steve enjoyed spending time on the computer keeping up with current events or playing various computer games. He loved traveling with his wife and was especially fond of taking cruises. He was happy to welcome Ginger, an Australian Labradoodle puppy, to the family just six weeks ago. Ever the gentleman, Steve was always calm, cool, and collected in his demeanor.
Steve is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia; his children, Scott Shadoin and unofficial daughter in law, Silvana Lischner, and Terri (Derrick) Budowski; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Haley, Emilee, and Chase; and his brother, James (Diane) Shadoin.

Steve will be laid to rest at South Florida National Cemetery on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. Those attending are asked to arrive early and travel to lane 1.
